Kim Victoria Cattrall (born August 21st, 1956) is a British-Canadian actress most well-known for her performance in the role of Samantha Jones in the HBO series Sex and the City for which she was awarded five Emmy Award nominations and four Golden Globe Award nominations winning the 2002 Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress. Her role was reprised by her in two of the Sex and the City films (2008) and Sex and the City 2 (2009). Her other notable roles include her leading roles in 1980s movies Police Academy Big Trouble in Little China Mannequin and Porky's. Kim Cattrall comes to mind whenever you think of her character Samantha Jones on the hit HBO TV show Sex & the City. Cattrall is a well-known actress, has credited her performance as Samantha Jones as a career-defining character. The most famous of her roles was the actress who played La Dolce Vita in the comedy film. Before beginning her acting profession it was her job to be a Swedish fashion model. She was named Miss Sweden. Following her move to the US she began acting in several movies and playing minor characters.
